Comic Book Camp Ages 8-12; 285 Livingston Street, Asheville; 828-259-5483

Fee: $50, City of Asheville residents receive a $10 discount.
$25 for youth enrolled in Parks and Recreation afterschool programs, Summer Playground Program or Outdoor Camp Program.

Explore the world of comics, cartooning, and creating stories and adventures. Participants will focus on comics as an art form. Youth will learn about story development through creative games and activities, and spend the week developing their own comic adventures. Camp will be at the Dr. Wesley Grant Sr. Southside Center

Character Creation Comic Camp Ages 8-12; 285 Livingston Street; 828-259-5483

Bring the world of fantasy to life by creating and developing your favorite or very own character. Participants will focus on character development and what it takes to be a superhero. Youth will design unique costumes while learning about different materials used for protection and gadgets. Camp will be at the Dr. Wesley Grant Sr. Southside Center.

LEAF For rising 1st-5th graders; 285 Livingston Street;
Week 1: July 24-8, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm.
Week 2: July 31-Aug 4 Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm.
Fee: $165 for one week or $315 for both weeks if scheduled at the same time. Scholarships available.
Is your child a creative star in the making? Youth will enjoy recreational and cultural arts activities, and work with instructors specializing in a variety of performing arts genres. At the end of the camp, each young artist will showcase their talents during a final performance. Weeks are structured as separate camps and will be held at the Dr. Wesley Grant Sr. Southside.

Tennis Camp Ages 8-14; 336 Hillard Ave; 828-251-4074
Beginner/Intermediate: Week 1: June 12-15; Week 2: June 19-22
Intermediate/Advanced: Week 3: June 26-29
Fee: $125/week, City of Asheville residents receive a $25 discount.
Focuses on progressive skill development and play. All camps are conducted by a certified tennis professional of the United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR). The camp will be held at Aston Park Tennis Center in downtown Asheville.

Eco Explorers Camp 6-8 year olds; 749 Fairview Road; 828-251-4080
Session 1: June 19-21
Session 2: June 26-28
NEW CAMP HOURS: 9am-5pm.
Fee: $120. City of Asheville residents receive a $10 discount. Fee includes all equipment, instruction, and transportation.
A three day camp focused on exploration and fun outdoors! Activities include hiking, stream investigation, animal visits, climbing wall and a field trip to Grandfather Mountain. Campers must bring lunch and water daily. 12 campers maximum per session.

Adventure Camp 8-12 year olds; 749 Fairview Road; 828-251-4080

Fee: $220. City of Asheville residents receive a $10 discount. Fee includes all equipment, instruction, meals while camping, and transportation.
This 5 day camp includes hiking, swimming, rafting, tubing, games, environmental education and camping. Camp runs 9am-5pm Monday-Wednesday with an overnight campout Thursday night. Pick up will be noon on Friday. Campers must bring lunch & water each day, and provide their own sleeping bag/pad for the campout. Camps will form into two groups for age based activities - ages 8-10 and 10-12. For 10 year olds, please indicate preferred age group. 24 campers maximum per session.
